The backbone of the radiator
business is the Winston Cup Radiators. The NASCAR Winston Cup cars
race on a variety of tracks from road courses to short tracks to
superspeedways. C&R Racing builds a radiator for all of those applications.
The cooling system requirements on a 1/2 mile track aren't the same
on a superspeedway. Because of this, we have standard designs for
superspeedways, intermediate tracks, and short tracks.
C&R Racing has tailored radiators
to the speed of the race track to optimize the aerodynamic effect
a radiator has on a stock car. We have a core design for virtually
every track that will put the most tape on the grill and give the
most frontal downforce.
Although we do offer a standard
Winston Cup radiator, 99% of the Winston Cup radiators are custom
built to the team's specs in regard to height, width, fitting layout,
and mounts.
C&R Racing has revolutionized
the world of race car cooling systems with it's heat exchanger/radiator.
This radiator is designed to simplify the engine compartment of
Busch Grand National cars. C & R was already building a very efficient
external oil to water heat exchanger when developed the idea of
putting the engine oil cooler inside of the radiator tank. By eliminating
duct work and oil cooler mounts, this design greatly cleans up the
engine compartment.
Our heat exchanger radiator
utilizes our Winston Cup design built radiator core and a 13-plate
heat exchanger core. It is widely used in Winston Cup, BGN, and
NASCAR SuperTrucks. Our Heat exchanger radiator is the ultimate
in heat exchanger/radiators for high horsepower applications.
All of our Winston Cup radiators
are double pass with choice of inlet and outlet. Available in closed
system or with a cap. Our top of the line purpose built racing radiator
core is used in the manufacturing of this radiator. The 13 plate
heat exchanger comes with -12 AN inlet & outlet. No epoxy is used
in any of our radiators.
