Road Racing Products
KONI is proud to present the 28 series of racing dampers. It is our latest racing product in a line that goes back all the way to the late '50s. Ever since then, our customers have been winning. We are confident that our dampers can help you to win as well. With this brochure as a guide, you are able to choose the right dampers for your car. All engineering data, such as length tables, dimensional tables and valving charts, are included. To help you through this complex process, a step by step manual is provided on how to go about.

Product Range
The KONI 28 series program covers three damper types. All types share the same internals and thus damper technology.
Note: designed for track use, the use of a 28 Series damper in standard form (as described in this manual) is not recommended when high average piston shaft speeds are envisaged. Please contact KONI for possible solutions for such use.
2812:
Light weight coil over damper of monotube design. Takes 2" or 2-1/2" I.D. springs, with top and bottom eye attachments. The stroke ranges from 29 to 114 rnm. The dampers are fitted with spherical bearings for a 7/16" bolt shank. Three different lengths of top eye are available.
2816:
Bare insert for use in customer designed and manufactured McPherson struts. The top attachment fits a 1/2" bearing. The available stroke ranges from 119 to 199 mm.

2817:
Semi-finished aluminum McPherson strut without brackets, containing a 2816 type insert. The available stroke ranges from 119 to 199 mm. Brackets can be welded on after purchase.
   

Oval Track Racing Products
From dirt to asphalt our racing engineers have developed a shock system that takes away the excess baggage normally associated with suspension set-up. With one of KONI's 4PA shocks at each corner of your car there are 256 shock settings to solve any "loose" or "push" conditions.
     
     
Drag Racing Products

KONI adjustable shocks have dominated professional and sportsman drag racing since 1969. KONI's unique adjustment feature allows racers to tune their suspension for specific tracks and conditions. KONI offers a SPA1 drag shock for your application.

Stock Adjustable (80 Series): Ideal replacement shock for Stock Eliminator or bracket cars with stock suspension  
Double Adjustable (8212 Aluminum Body): The shock that revolutionized chassis tuning is adjustable in both rebound and compression.  
Single Adjustable (80-2650 Steel Body and 8216 Aluminum Body): Shock includes adjustable spring platform and features rebound tuning capabilities
